Forgot to mention it here but tryouts are right around the corner. Semi-pro, here goes nothing.
Better believe it! Last of the edits will be around summer time. In the mean time here is the first draft of the synopsis:
From one nation to the next the desire to be the best will always be there. When looking at the disagreements in Council and information regarding the current downfall and Zatana’s economy it is easy to say that Zatana could soon fall behind in the quest to remain a superpower. An economy on the verge of starting to crumble and crash due to the political impasse with no apparent solution to fix the problem, it would seem the government could ultimately be responsible for its own demise. Zatana is in uncharted territory and no one really knows what to expect going forward. Will the downfall be as detrimental on the economy as some predict? Will the two parties go back to nation centered politics instead of pushing their own agenda? The answers to these questions are unknown and the future holds the answer. The government needs to stop looking at the little things and start looking at the big picture by bringing that red and yellow together. It is sad to say that it appears that red and yellow will always be separated with no one willing to give in this could tear Zatana apart. On the surface one could say Zatana is United, “United We Stand” as we like to say, but are we really united or just one nation about to fall off the globe?

As the radio plays the lyrics “for some reason I can’t explain, I know St. Peter won’t call my name” lingers in the air millions of thoughts from the day run on replay. As the thoughts continue, hopelessness and confusion start to take place over the one vibrant smile that appeared only hours ago. That feeling of being on top of the world , a godly queen slips into abyss. The world starts to crumble and sooner than later everything is gone. Those finer things in life that made the mind sane are now out of reach, no longer existing.
It is human nature to want to be the best and usually being the best gets associated with having the finer things in life. The term “the finer things in life” has no clear definition; even the dictionary has a hard time putting the pieces together to come up with a common term. It is more of an opinion, thus the term can vary from person to person. In America, this term is used primarily when people speak of things with high quality. Having this desire to participate in the finer things in life is what drives most people to pursue success, especially financial success. Having this strong financial success allows one to do more activities and enjoy things that would otherwise be unaffordable.
Let’s be honest, increased finances enable us to do more activities that we essentially would not be able to otherwise.
While pursuing the finer things in life, we often become so ineradicable, so focused in the pursuit, that we do not experience the finest things in life. We are spending so much time trying to obtain our goals that we are missing the regular opportunities to enjoy the finest things in life.
Humans, we’ve established this idea that items are more valuable than anything else or the person with the most money, has it all. In my opinion, the finer things in life shouldn’t completely be about money. Instead of living a life based on riches, live for those moments that make you think, “there is no place else in the world I would rather be right now.” As they say in the movie Hitch, “life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”
It’s about creating memories that will never go away. It’s the tingling sensation, those crazy little butterflies that rumble in your stomach when you’re with that certain someone. Or the musty residue left on your finger tips from an old book that you’re reading just for the fun of it. That extra fifteen minutes at the coffee shop, catching up with old friends and tasting each sip, rather than rushing it. It’s the way the summer rays make the atmosphere unbearable, each breath leaving the the lungs begging for more while a small cut above your eye drizzles blood casting a red trail outlying your cheekbone and in the end you none of that matters because you win the championship game. And the list goes on.
Sometimes the pursuit of gaining these finer things in life get in the way of enjoying the finest things in life. These finest thing in life are priceless, take a moment to enjoy them. Don’t wake up one morning realizing you’ve wasted your life. Viva la vida!
On that note, last post until the end of the semester. I’m kinda done with this whole thing tumblr thing anyway. There you go Jess, just what you wanted… part of it posted.
